More on Winter Whales in Bay of Fundy

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

From ilovequoddywild.blogspot.com - Bay of Fundy Winter Whales at Quoddy

Mack Green told us today that Gary Cooke had watched two whales out by Windmill Point (Head Hartbour Passage at Campobello) on the day of the last snowstorm ( a Thursday) . They were hanging on the surface and blowing a lot. Mack said they sounded like right whales. Mack said humpbacks have been around at the wolves all winter. Danny said there was a minke at the light last week near the weir. All these people know whales and watch whales.

Note: Mack Green is well known in whale circles. He operates a whale rescue operation out of Campobello.
